Lourdes and Alfredo's Garden
Hohokus, NJ
Our home in Ho-Ho-Kus is on a corner, and at the time of purchase it was completely exposed to the side street. The existing landscape was very tired and there were no flowering plants to speak of. We immediately set out to design a lush landscape using many of our favorite evergreens, shrubs, bushes, and perennials. We have a little fish pond, many potted plants that we take in during the winter months, and a wide variety of evergreens, deciduous flowering bushes, and perennials. In May we always plant numerous annuals to complement our perennials. We pride ourselves on keeping our garden in pristine shape—pruning and changing out plants as needed—but most of all, ensuring color, flowering blooms, and bees and butterflies throughout all of spring, summer, and fall. We were featured by the Ridgewood Garden Club a few years back and by The Contemporary Club of Ho-Ho-Kus last summer.
This garden's estimated size is ⅕ acre (10,000 sq. feet).
