Keeyla Meadows Gardens & Art
Albany, CA
Garden structure/sculpture
My whole life, growing up in the wilds of a Native Southern California Canyon, I have been an Avataress of Bees, Butterflies, and beneficial garden insects. Love the sounds of crickets in the evening garden. Reading Rachel Carson's Silent Spring at 12, I feared for the effects of chemicals on the environment. I grew into a gardener, artist, and landscape designer. Learning to write to reach out to others of the joys and "how to do its" of gardening. Authoring two books, Making Gardens Works of Art and Fearless Color Gardening. My home garden is a haven to birds, bees, butterflies, dragonflies, crickets, salamanders. A bounty of year-round colors of foliage and flowers offer bouquets, foraging grounds for birds and insects. For more than 40 years I've been teaching classes and installing gardens that support pollinators. Come to the garden to be with the bees and butterflies.
