Flying Pig Farm
Amherst, MA
Fruit/vegetables, Meadow, Water feature, Woodland/shade garden
A rambling informal garden of quirks and delights, Flying Pig Farm (no pigs, no farm) has taken shape through twenty years of trial and error. The landscape has evolved to work with the natural contours left by the clay and ledges of the ice age. There are colorful, manicured beds close to the eighteenth-century farmhouse, an incline of viburnums and azaleas, an enhanced meadow, and wandering woodland paths. Find a seat and enjoy views of the farm pond or the meditation garden.
This garden's estimated size is 9 acres.
