Egret Landing
Norwalk, CT
Substantial native plants, Garden structure/sculpture, Woodland/shade garden, Organic/toxin-free, Scenic view, Water feature
Beyond the gate in the private community of Wilson Point, in Fairfield County, you'll discover our enchanting property that we lovingly call Egret Landing.
Situated on 1.6 acres, Egret Landing borders a tidal pond, and is home to egrets, herons, osprey, eagles, and other waterfowl. You'll view a conifer garden in the courtyard; border beds around the main lawn and bocce court; a monumental stone gazebo, luxuriously furnished, fenced pool and covered porch, with curated seasonal containers; and a hidden woodland garden, with meandering paths, fanciful and fun themed garden rooms, an enclosed veggie patch, a fire pit, and a stunning water feature in 'the Hollow,' the newest area of the woodland.
Our original concepts for the property and woodland garden were brought to life by Tara Vincenta, owner of Artemis Landscape Architects, with installation by Freddy and Co. Landscape Services. Each year we conceive of a new project, or two, and are grateful to have assistance and support from our Glengate Company property manager and specialty teams, based in Wilton, CT. Their all-encompassing, four seasons of property care has greatly enhanced our lives, and our vision for our ever-evolving gardens and property.
We are pleased to invite Garden Conservancy tour attendees to visit our magical gardens in Coastal Fairfield County.
