Conrad Family Garden

Alpine/rock garden, Dry/xeriscape, Historic garden, Meadow, Rare plants/plant collection, Scenic view, Substantial native plants, Water feature, Woodland/shade garden
The garden is situated on 2 acres upon the bluffs of the Arkansas River, overlooking the riparian zone and Pikes Peak. Two continuous springs form a natural wetland which serves as the centerpiece. Surrounding areas of xeriscape, English garden, and natural prairie make up the rest. Stone pathways with wooden bridges allow access to nearly the entire garden area. Both native and non-native flora provide habitat for a diversity of mostly native fauna. We enjoy living within and observing a diverse ecosystem. Some of my favorite plants are south African succulents, alpine cushion plants, and carnivorous plants, none of which do exceptionally well. My main tasks are controlling overgrowth and removing those unwanted pesky plants before they go to seed.
This garden's estimated size is 2 acres.
