Ann Krupp Bryan
Saugerties, NY
Organic/toxin-free, Garden structure/sculpture, Fruit/vegetables
Beginning as a gravel parking lot and the grounds of a country church, the garden has developed over the past 25 years. Today, the church is a lovely house surrounded by extensive sunny borders, large old trees underplanted with shade gardens, a steep hillside shade garden, and an organic vegetable garden. Ann designed, planted, and has maintained this land, including building the stone retaining walls. During the last seven years, foliage plants have taken center stage in both sun and shade. For the past four years, Ann's newly completed sculptures have been added to the landscape each year, and a new 50-foot shrub border is just starting to come into its own.
