297 and 298
Jeffersonville, NY
Meadow, Substantial native plants
The garden of 298 was designed by a landscape architect from Terremoto Landscape in Los Angeles and installed by The Dirt Diva in Sullivan County. It includes a large number of pollinator species and a wide variety of native and non-native plants appropriate for the area. The 297 house is Victorian, built as a boarding house in the late 1800s, and the gardens surrounding the house were installed when the house was renovated in 2001. The gardens here are more formal; however, the house now has a field of wildflowers in the backyard that features a different bloom every few weeks throughout the season.
This garden's estimated size is 1 acre.
