The Gwinn estate was originally the home of renowned Cleveland Industrialist William Mather. The estate includes exquisite formal gardens, fountains, green space, and pavilions along the Erie lakefront. Designed by landscape architect Warren H. Manning, the Gwinn estate grounds exemplify early twentieth-century style. Manning took a naturalistic approach when it came to landscape design, which paired well with the Italian renaissance design of the home.
