The Garden Conservancy Northwest Network (GCNN) Spring Workshop will be held on Saturday, March 11, at Highline SeaTac Botanical Garden in Seatac, WA. Wendy A. Morgan will deliver a comprehensive presentation on the fundamentals of effective grant writing for your organization.
A human services planning consultant and grant writer, Wendy Morgan has served a number of terms on the Highline Botanical Garden Foundation board of directors since the inception of the organization in 1999. That year she also helped move the first plants that make up the garden from Elda Behm’s home.
Through the years, Morgan has been very active in South King County. She served on the Tukwila City Council in the 1980s, co-founded Widowed Information and Consultation Service (WICS) in 1974, and was the first Women’s Program Coordinator at Highline Community College and, from 1977 through 1984, the first Women’s Program Coordinator for King County.
Today, she serves on the City of SeaTac Hotel/Motel Tax Advisory Committee and the Garden Board. Morgan lives in SeaTac with her two cats, Willy and Nilly, and her dog, Snooks.
